On 12th of November we attended Alaluxa’s ‘A Day of Trends’ bazaar at Raffles Hotel Istanbul. We handed out information booklets to the visitors. Those who visited our stand and gave donations received one of our books. It was a highly interactive and excited day for us. We would like to thank Alaluxa for their kind invitation and also those who visited our stand and supported our society.

As Endometriosis and Adenomyosis Association, we have started to organize awareness meetings on “Women’s Health and Hygiene” in many dormitories affiliated to the Credit Dormitories Institution in order to inform our young girls.
The main purpose of our meetings are to protect the health of our youth and to contribute to their self-knowledge. In these meetings, many issues related to women’s health will be discussed interactively such as menstrual irregularities, chocolate cysts, menstrual pains, cervical cancer prevention ways, the importance of early diagnosis in women’s health, women’s access to health services and personal hygiene.
Our first awareness meeting was held on 4th November 2019 in Governor Muammer Güler Girls’ Dormitory. Our president Taner USTA, MD educated girls on “Reproductive System” and “Women’s Health and Hygiene”. We will continue our interactive and enjoyable meetings in a different city each month with the participation of our expert staff members.
We would like to thank the General Directorate of Youth and Sports Credit and Dormitory for giving us the opportunity to hold these meetings.
Endometriosis and Adenomyosis Association
As Turkish Endometriosis and Adenomyosis Society we are continuing our seminars at the dormitories of the Institute of Loans and Accommodations. Our founding president Prof. Engin ORAL, MD has given a seminar at Istanbul Besyol Girls Dormitory on ‘Women’s Health and Hygiene’. It has been highly interactive and successful. We are excited for our next visits to other dormitories around Turkey.

On Sunday the 3rd of November we ran 15K at the 41st Vodafone Istanbul Marathon to raise awareness for endometriosis. We thank everyone for their support!
We proudly announce that Turkish Philantrophy Association (TPA) kindly promised to support our projects.
Our 11th EndoAcademy meeting took place on Sunday October the 20th at Kartal Dr Lutfi Kirdar Training and Research Hospital. Newest information on endometriosis was discussed. Gernot Hudelist joined the meeting from Austria with live transmission. He gave two talks and performed nerve sparing deep infiltrative endometriosis surgery. We thank all participants for their interest in this meeting.
At the 8th Asian Conference on Endometriosis which took place in Pattaya, Thailand, our society’s founder president Prof. Engin Oral, MD. has moderated the session of European Endometriosis League and gave a lecture on ‘Endometriosis management in patients after age 40’ while our past executive board member Prof. Kutay Biberoglu, MD. gave a speech on ‘usage of combined oral contraception and progestins in pelvic pain related to endometriosis’ and moderated the session.
As a part of our awareness meetings, we were at Denizbank General Directorate in last Thursday on 4th of July. We discussed endometriosis (chocolate cyst disease) reproductive health and pelvic pain with a young and dynamic crowd who listened to the subject with all ears. We would like to thank all Denizbank employees, especially Ms. Ebru, Nil, and İlknur for welcoming us very warmly.
Founder President of our society Prof Engin Oral has been invited to lecture at 2nd Congress of The East-European Society of Endometriosis and Infertility which was held in Romania about these two interesting topics;

Our association; was established to inform patients, relatives, the society, physicians about Endometriosis and the diseases caused by it. We are working for a future where the effects of Endometriosis, which is one of every 10 women of reproductive age, have less effects.
