Endo At School

As a part of our Endo at School Project we were at Izmir Istek High School on Wednesday the 17th of April. Prof. Umit Inceboz, MD gave a seminer to 50 9th graders on reproductive health and endometriosis. We would like to thank the school administration and biology teacher Mulkiyet Simsek for their support and the students for their interest.

On Tuesday the 12th of March one of our boardmember Prof. Umit Inceboz, MD., has given a seminar on endometriosis and adenomyosis at Ozkanlar Junior High School with the support od Izmir Bornova High School.

On Tuesday the 12th of March one of the members of our society Eda Ureyen Ozdemir, MD. has given a seminer on endometriosis and reproductive health at Mev College Ankara as a part of our ongoing Endo at School project. We thank the school administration and the students for their interest and support.

Today, we talked with approximately 150 adolescents about the endometriosis disease and reproductive health at SEV American College. We have expressed the social dimension of the disease, which actually concerns everyone. Pınar Yalçın Bahat, MD lectured about the properties of the periods in adolescants. She also spotted that, the pain during their periods should not be underestimated. She highlighted the importance of nutrition. We would like to thank SEV American College for this lovely seminar, and we are aiming to reach more adolescents.

This week we are going to hold several meetings at different cities on ‘endometriosis and reproductive health’. One of our member Seher Sarı, MD. was in Samsun with workers from Yedas. Eda Ureyen, MD held a meeting in Ankara with adolescent girls from Yukselis College. Salih Yılmaz, MD. was in Van at the 100. Years University meeting with students majoring in teaching preschool children.⠀

Today we are delighted to see that one of our dreams have come true. With the collaboration of American Collegiate Institute in Izmir we held a seminar on endometriosis and reproductive health. Almost 180 girls from ACI attended the seminar and Prof. Umit Inceboz informed these students thoroughly on the subject. Starting today this educational program will last for two weeks. We are also in contact with other schools. We aim to widen this project and reach as many students as we can. We thank ACI management and students for their help and participation.
